HELLO.

We are Amber and Jon, a husband and wife team specializing in lifestyle portrait and wedding photography. We live in Brooklyn with our three fluffy cat children and are available for travel worldwide. This blog showcases our latest work and all the things we find random and lovable. We're so happy you're here!

24 Oct 2012

In my head, I am dressed like a conquistador with a bronze roman sword (naturally) which I am swinging with abandon over my head a la Don Quixote.  As I throw caution to the wind while pushing my trusty steed beyond its limits, my only thought is on my true love and me rescuing her from the dastardly villain, Senior Loneliness (or El Guapo.  He was always such a good villain!).

In reality, I am dressed in mesh shorts and a t-shirt in our 1 bedroom apartment swinging a wireless mouse with abandon, trying to get this post up before my wife of 3 years to the day wakes.  What can I say?  Delusions of grandeur can be so fun…

On October 24th, 2009, Amber and I were married after being best friends and partners for over 5 years.  Today is both our 3 year wedding anniversary and marks 8.43 years together.  Be it on the day of our wedding or 3.23 years together (or 6.89 years together, for that matter) I have always believed myself to be incredibly fortunate to have this miniature ball o’ human compassion and kindness in my life.

I am stepping way over the bounds of our mutually agreed upon “no/limited PDA” policy by posting this, but people do crazy things in the name of love.  And so this brings us to the purpose of this post.  As my gift to you, Amber, love of my life, for all that you have given me over the past 8.43 years, I have spent the past few months conceptualizing, drawing, cutting, sewing, shooting, and editing the following video for us. I look forward to the time when the last and 2nd-to-last years in our anniversary date blur.  Happy anniversary!
