earlier this month marked the first ever borrowed event: a bridal expo in baltimore for creative and alternative wedding vendors. it was our first expo and i was a bit nervous about what we should do booth-wise. i knew i wanted to create a comfy space where people could hang and see what made us tick while checking out our work, but i didn’t quite know where to start. i googled “alternative wedding booths” and couldn’t find anything that really fit who we are. then it hit me: our apartment is full of kitschy odds and ends! so, bright and early sunday morning, we moved pretty much our entire living room into the expo. we hung polaroids and photos on twine and spun otis on the record player. we had a tea corner (because obviously) and gluten free cookies (that were surprisingly really good, thanks to jon’s baking skills) and lots of other bits and pieces from our everyday life. it was a bit daunting to set up (and break down) but i love how it turned out.
