Jon and his dad gearing up for their first day on the stream. FISH WERE CAUGHT. And then put back.

A few photos from our dreamy train ride to Poughkeepsie last week, where we met Jon’s parents and drove hours into the mountains.

This sweet couple exchanged vows one bright spring morning with only Jon, the officiant and me as witnesses. It was simple and it was loving and we feel so honored to have been included in their beautiful day.

We left for Catskill State Park this morning and I’m so looking forward to getting out of the city and reading, reading, reading until my head explodes while Jon fishes (he always puts them back.)

I love this photo of my Great Aunt May…all the Digrius women laugh like that (the giant smile, the hand clap.) I think it’s hereditary.

Our kitchen sink as seen by a disposable camera days after moving in. Jon is a kitchen-nester, so that was the first room we fully unpacked. I remember looking at our apartment for the first time and being sold immediately by that beautiful light filtering in through the window gate. Please note the drying rack of CLEAN DISHES. Usually, it’s just a sink full of dirty ones.
